Facebook Ad Research – Our Findings

It has been some time since we have posted here at the creative district as we are always busy with our many projects and clients. One trend we have noticed over the last few months is a huge surge in people reporting success with Facebook advertising platform. This was quite a shock to us here but as we do specialise in the Google Adwords it is been a while since we dipped our toes in the world of Facebook advertising. One thing we kept seeing over and over again was how much cheaper the ads are on Facebook when compared to Google Adwords. Now this may be true but I find I will never really believe that there is a better advertising platform than Google Adwords.

Adwords gives you the ability to put your ad in front of people who are actively looking for your product or service or at least that is the theory. Many people get caught up in going from the wrong keywords and end up getting traffic that is not really what they are looking for. For example they are bidding on the word “t shirt” which is very broad when they should really be bidding on “t shirt sale store” or something along the lines of that.

We are working with a new client who sell a range of dash cams and action cameras over at www.yicameras.co.uk. Previously they have only ever used Adwords so we thought what a good time to try this Facebook platform hype. Also they do have a good product at a great price so it is the perfect project to try Facebook ads with. They sell a range of 4K action cameras at under £200 price point so with the right targeting this could be a successful campaign.
